I have just been suspended for having put some videos about the rugby world cup on the net, when many people do this, and haven’t been suspended! Please, I had many messages from people there, many memories about the argentine’s team supporters that were so nice, etc.
Please let me know what I have to do to recover my site!!!!!!!

Dear Michelle,
Federal law requires that we terminate accounts when they are found to
repeatedly infringe copyright. Because you have had other videos rejected
in the past, we are unable to reinstate your account.
Sincerely,
Harry

Dear Harry,
Can you tell me which where the violations to the copyright I did?
All the videos where made by myself during the 2007 rugby world cup in and outside the stadium, so I don't understand why I am punished ... according to the rules on youtube http://www.youtube.com/t/howto_copyright if the material is entirely done by myself, I don't have to be afraid, It's OK... so can you at least tell me the reasons why my account was closed, if my behaviour complies to these rules ?
On the other hand, you cannot close an account without giving a last warning to the youtube user! It's like a robbery! I couldn't even copy all my messages and comments... it's really very bad for youtube... I will talk about this to everybody I know, and people will do this too, so in some time everybody will stop using youtube because of this too strict rule, and for the moment, not really understandable. Can you explain this better to me, please?
Thanks, I won't stop until I get an answer
Michelle

Dear Michelle,
Recording a television show, sporting event, or concert on your video recorder doesn't necessarily mean that you own all necessary rights in that video to upload it to our site. This is true even if the event or show you record is open to the public. For example, you may be able to
video tape a professional sporting event, but the league or owner of the professional event is generally allowed to control who captures images of that event and how they are distributed, including digital recordings and photographs. Similarly, video taping a concert of your favorite band does not necessarily give you the right to reproduce and distribute the video images of the band or the music captured in that video without permission from the music publisher (who represents the song writer). Often times, these videos were captured against the rules of the venue or sporting arena in which the event took place, and someone specifically owns the exclusive right to distribute video of that event and/or the accompanying audio track. The phrase "derivative works" refers to creations such as remixes, where you might take images or sound from a recording and edit it into something new. Although the new video is your own creation, the images and sound you've used still belong to someone else. It doesn't matter if you recorded it for free from television, purchased a DVD, or recorded it yourself at an event-- you still need permission from the copyright holder(s) of the material you drew upon to make your new creation. It may seem confusing that you could record something yourself and still not own the rights to it, but this is the way US law is written. Please refer to our "Copyright Tips" at http://www.youtube.com/t/howto_copyright where we've provided some guidelines and links to help you determine whether your video infringes someone else's copyright.
If you have any questions about the rules to which you agreed when you became a member of YouTube, please refer to our Terms of Use located at http://www.youtube.com/t/terms.
Sincerely,
Megan

I DON'T LIVE IN THE US
I had many videos and comments and messages that were not infringing any rule, they were private, and I would like to recover them. Just telling me which videos I had to cancel would have been enough for you to make respect the rights of the "owner" of the images and for me !
Why did you suspend my account so quickly without warning me before?? This is the biggest problem... I would like to talk to someone more important in the management hierarchy than you, if it is possible, Megan
Thanks a lot
Michelle
